Learn practical ways property owners and managers can create safer, more supportive housing for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. This session will highlight important safety considerations, trauma-informed practices and available community supports.
Disaster Planning
Are you prepared when the unexpected happens at your rental property? Learn practical steps to prepare for fires, severe weather and other emergencies while protecting your tenants, your property and yourself.
Renting to Young Adults and the Supports Available
Learn more about the unique housing needs and challenges facing young adults transitioning into independent housing. Local youth-serving organizations will share the resources, financial assistance and ongoing supports available to help young renters succeed, along with the property owners who give them an opportunity.
Housing Ecosystem Round Table Discussion
Property owners, property managers and frontline case managers come together for an open conversation about what is working and what isn't within our local housing system. This interactive discussion will explore communication, expectations, common challenges and ways both sides can work together to create more successful and sustainable tenancies.
Mental Health vs. Substance Abuse: Know the Signs and Who to Call

Open Doors supports immigrants, refugees and people learning English in navigating housing-related challenges. The program provides free interpretation and translation for landlord and tenant communication such as rental agreements, repair requests and tenant rights conversations.
